Achieving Well-Being in Recovery: A Review of Existing Measures This publication by PRA Well-Being reviews instruments that measure various dimensions of wellness and well-being, emphasizing non-proprietary tools to better serve the field. It includes a section on utilizing public-use data for benchmarking, enabling providers to make the most of local community data. The resource also provides sample research articles regarding each identified instrument and their psychometric properties, aiding in the assessment of improvements from interventions or treatments.

Completing a Wellness Needs Assessment with Existing Data This document highlights the importance of accessing existing public datasets to assess the needs of populations with mental and substance use disorders. It explains how public-use data systems, like the 500 Cities Project and the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS), can be used to identify community resource gaps, develop programs, propose policy changes, and understand demographic data. The resource underscores the value of supplementing public data with wellness program data using existing non-proprietary tools.
